When it comes to Dublin airport hotels, not all properties are alike. In fact, some airport hotels are a long way from the airport. That is not the case with this IHG hotel in Ireland. This Crowne Plaza Dublin Airport hotel review in Ireland will show you what to expect during your stay.

Four-story red brick and cream stucco hotel with three flag poles in front of porte-cochere where vehicles pass through. The black Crowne Plaza Dublin Airport hotel shuttle bus is in the driveway.

As usual, I make my hotel reservations online before I set foot on the airplane. Some people are more spontaneous with their travel. However, I like to know that a hotel room is waiting for me when I land and when I take off from an international airport. The Crowne Plaza Dublin Airport hotel meets my criteria for cleanliness and safety, with a complimentary airport shuttle bus available.

I am particularly glad that I have advance reservations, as Dublin International Airport was recently hit by a cyberattack, and many Aer Lingus flights were delayed. Accordingly, this airport hotel is completely sold out tonight. Nonetheless, the front desk staff is welcoming and professional in getting my husband and me checked into our Dublin airport hotel room.

Hotel lobby with 3 metal, hanging, circular light fixtures. Two sets of beige and brown geometric patterned sofas are in the lobby with a gray and black area rug under the furniture and coffee tables; one dark wood, rectangular shaped and the other steel coffee table with gray marble top. The front door to the hotel is partially hidden behind a tall, green plant.

Crowne Plaza Dublin Airport hotel rooms

This 4-story, 4-star Dublin airport hotel features 209 rooms. Room categories include standard, premium, and 3 hotel suites. I met the couple who got the last room at the hotel, a 5-room suite, complete with a kitchen. Their flight is impacted by the cyberattack. They are happy to have an airport hotel room for the night.

Per usual, I have booked a standard king room and was fortunate to be upgraded to a premium room with club lounge access thanks to my IHG Platinum Elite status. Room #403 is away from the elevator, yet near the hydration station. While not a large room, the layout of a desk and chair, as well as a velvet lounge chair with a footstool, next to the bed, works for us.

There is a Nespresso coffee maker with pods, as well as the shiny tea kettle. I immediately spy the complimentary shortbread cookies, as well as the solo chocolate heart wrapped in red foil. Shall I bother to tell my husband that there is only one chocolate? I think not.

Blue peacock art is etched vertically above the king hotel bed. White duvet with sky blue runner on the base of the king bed. Small wood table at either end of bed. A gold velvet lounge chair and matching foot stool is to the left of the bed. A large window opens next to the desk, not shown, and chair.

Our king bed has a small table on either side of the bed. We are pleased to see white cotton robes and slippers in the closet. There is an ironing board, an iron, and a small safe, as well. Under the coffee and tea cabinet is a mini fridge. Above the wooden cabinet is a flat-screen television.

Our bathroom includes a bathtub and a separate shower. We appreciate the separate shower, as some shower/bath combinations require a huge step into the tub/shower. There is ec0-friendly Apotheke bath amenities mounted on the shower wall.

As we have access to the 4th-floor club lounge, we enjoy the happy hour with light bites, beer, wine, and soda in the club room. The next morning, there is a cold complimentary breakfast for club room hotel guests.
