For me, it’s always sad to book my airport hotel after completing a European vacation. More often than not, it’s a wasted day near an international airport hotel, waiting for my flight back to the United States. Imagine my delight when I discovered a new Four Points by Sheraton Barcelona Airport hotel with cheap prices and a swimming pool

While I stand by my decision to book a room at Four Points by Sheraton Barcelona Airport hotel, I was disappointed with the swimming pool situation. It turns out that the rooftop bar and swimming pool are only open on weekends from 11:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. I hope this is a temporary hotel policy.

My husband and I are Marriott Bonvoy members. However, we don’t have any status with this hotel loyalty program. That being said, we were quite pleased to learn that our airport hotel allowed us an early check-in. Our traveling companion had a higher status and was upgraded with points or a complimentary breakfast.

New Four Points by Sheraton Barcelona Airport hotel

This 3-star Marriott Bonvoy hotel recently opened in April 2025 and features 202 rooms. With 10 floors, the higher-level rooms offer nice Barcelona city views. Room categories range from city view to king, superior, and king ADA accessible.

Our room #827 was a king room with city views and quiet double-paned windows. Unlike some other Barcelona airport hotels, we felt a sense of calm here. We even saw a group of horseback riders pass by the hotel during our stay!

Our king room included a small desk and chair, a sky blue velvet chair with a floor lamp for reading, and a flat screen television. We had a mini fridge, a hotel safe, and a closet with hangers. There was a tea kettle with Nescafé freeze-dried coffee in our room.

The walk-in shower had a rainfall shower head and a separate shower wand. Bath amenities included Activ Body Care and a hair dryer.

Drinks and dining at Sheraton Four Points Barcelona Airport

The Gastro Counter Bar offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner service. Breakfast is offered from 7:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. Monday to Friday and 7:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. weekends for 18 euros per person. Lunch and dinner from 11:00 a.m. until the kitchen closes at 11:00 p.m. Such a relief to hear these dining hours as opposed to typical Spain dining hours.

Room service is also available from 11:00 a.m. until 11:00 p.m. Currently, the service fee is 7 euros.

Marriott Bonvoy hotel amenities

In addition to the rooftop pool with limited hours, there is a workout room located below level 1. I also spotted 2 electric bicycles for rent, with helmets, by the front of the building. I’m assuming this is a 3rd party vendor, but you’ll have to ask the front desk for more information.

Room rates start at 137.84 euros, not including city taxes. Always check the Marriott Bonvoy hotel website for the best pricing. Parking is an additional fee of 18 euros per night. It’s important to note that the hotel does not offer a shuttle to Barcelona El Prat airport.

Pets are allowed at this Four Points by Sheraton Barcelona Airport hotel for an additional fee of 50 euros. Check the website for current prices, as my room rate was a promotional price for this new hotel. We reserved a taxi the night prior to our departure. The taxi driver was prompt, and the fee was reasonable. If I remember correctly, it was 21 euros to El Prat.

Check rates online at Expedia, Booking.com, Agoda.com, or Hotels.com.
