My family of five appreciates the space the two-bedroom suites provide for us when we are on a Universal Orlando Resort vacation. The only drawback for us is that we all have to share one bathroom, which can make getting ready for the day or for bed a challenge.

Beach Break Cafe

Hotel Amenities

Surfside Inn and Suites offers several different amenities on site, including food and recreation options. These options include Beach Break Cafe, Sand Bar, and Starbucks.

  • Beach Break Cafe: A casual food court that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Dishes are inspired by food trucks, local joints, and backyard barbecues. Most meals are priced under $12, making it both convenient and budget-friendly.
  • Sand Bar: Located poolside, this laid-back bar offers a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, perfect for guests looking to relax by the surfboard-shaped pool.
  • Starbucks: For those seeking their favorite coffee or tea, a Starbucks is conveniently situated in the hotel lobby, providing a range of familiar beverages and snacks.

Recreational Facilities

Surfside Inn and Suites offers recreational amenities that are well-themed, but expected. The hotel’s centerpiece is its unique surfboard-shaped pool. The pool area is complemented by plenty of seating, which my family has experienced. It is nice to have a big enough pool area that no one has to fight for seating.

Guests can maintain their workout routines at the on-site fitness center, equipped with state-of-the-art machinery and available at no additional cost. For entertainment beyond the theme parks, the hotel features a game room with various arcade and video games, providing fun for all ages.

Additional Amenities

As with other Universal Orlando hotels, there are additional amenities that guests will want to know about and take advantage of. A Universal Studios Store is located in the lobby. This store offers everyday necessities and Universal Orlando merchandise, ensuring guests have access to essentials and souvenirs without leaving the hotel premises.

The Universal Orlando Vacation Planning Center is a dedicated area that allows guests to purchase or pick up tickets to Universal theme parks and other area attractions, as well as reserve cabanas for Volcano Bay, streamlining the vacation planning process.

My family personally does not do laundry on vacation, but Surfside does have self-service laundry facilities if you need to manage your laundry needs during your stay.

Average Price Per Night

Surfside Inn and Suites is recognized for its affordability within the Universal Orlando Resort portfolio. Prices for standard rooms range between $99 and $273 per night, depending on factors such as the season, length of stay, and room view. Surfside and Dockside often have sales or special offers that include a room discount with theme park tickets. The two-bedroom suites, offering additional space and amenities, are priced accordingly, providing excellent value for larger groups or families.
