The Tekirdag Ramada Hotel is a modern hotel on a hill above the city of Tekirdag, Turkey, with views out to the Sea of Marmara. Let me say upfront that the best thing about this hotel was the great Turkish breakfast, but more on that later.
Location
The hotel is positioned near Tekirdag’s city center, allowing guests to explore local attractions such as the Rakoczi House Museum, home of an unsuccessful Hungarian revolutionary, and the Tekirdag Archaeology and Ethnography Museum.
Tekirdag is located halfway between Istanbul and the Dardanelles, including the poignant Galipplli battlefield from WWI or the ruins of ancient Troy.
For wine enthusiasts, the hotel is within a short drive of vineyards and wineries, including the lovely Barbare Vineyard.
Rooms and Accommodations
Tekirdag Ramada Hotel offers a variety of rooms and suites designed with comfort and style in mind. Standard rooms are spacious and feature simple, tasteful decor with earthy tones and modern furnishings. They are equipped with flat-screen TVs, complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi, and mini-bars. For those looking for an upgraded experience, the suites include added amenities such as separate living areas, spacious bathrooms with rain showers, and private balconies offering panoramic views of Tekirdag Bay.

Public Spaces and Facilities
The hotel offers some seating and a bar in the lobby. Unfortunately, while most of the hotel’s rooms are non-smoking, the public spaces and some of the guest rooms had a smokey or musty smell.
Families will remember the hotel pools. The hotel has a large outdoor pool with multiple waterslides and a decent indoor pool for colder weather. It also has an indoor children’s pool and a playground.
In addition to the well-equipped fitness center, the hotel offers a spa, hammam, and sauna for relaxation.
For business travelers, the hotel features five meeting rooms, which can be arranged to accommodate 1295 conference guests or 600 banquet guests.
Dining Options
The hotel’s main restaurant serves a diverse array of international and Turkish cuisine prepared with fresh, locally sourced ingredients.
Guests can enjoy a daily buffet breakfast featuring local favorites like simit, börek, cheeses, and olives alongside international options. Turkey breakfasts are great in many hotels where I have stayed, but this breakfast stood out to me and the travel writers I was traveling with. I had previously told one writer who was new to Turkey to expect ten types of olives at breakfast. This breakfast had 13! It also had fresh baked goods and quite a collection of fresh jams. As Turkey is a predominantly Muslim country, the only thing you won’t find is bacon.
Pricing and Value
Room rates at the Tekirdag Ramada Hotel are competitive for the quality and range of amenities provided. Standard rooms typically start below 83 euros per night, with suites available at a higher rate. The hotel offers good value for money.

Conclusion
Tekirdag Ramada Hotel is a decent choice for travelers seeking an overnight stay on Turkey’s Marmara coast. Don’t skip the breakfast, and do try to explore the local wineries.
