SureStay by Best Western Eureka, Nevada Pit Stop

Let’s be honest. Sometimes, you’re driving from point A to point B and just need a hotel to stop at along the way. Driving from Denver, Colorado, to Northern California, we needed a hotel in Eureka, Nevada. There are not a lot of hotel choices in Eureka, Nevada. If you need a dog-friendly hotel, SureStay by Best Western Eureka, Nevada, this pit stop works.

Headed west along Highway 50, “The Loneliest Road in America” this was our last lodging option for 180 miles until Fallon, Nevada.

Built in 1998, The SureStay by Best Western Eureka, located on Highway 50, was clean, affordable, and pet-friendly. The low-rise brick building was a sure thing for our one-night stay. The 2-star, 2-story SureStay by Best Western Eureka was a welcome sight after 9 hours of driving. With 140 hotel rooms, our dog-approved double queen room met our travel needs in Eureka, Nevada.

SureStay Eureka Breakfast

I’ve noted many times that we appreciate a complimentary Best Western breakfast. In my opinion, the European-based Best Western hotels have the best complimentary breakfasts, followed by the US-based Best Western hotels. A complimentary continental breakfast was included with our SureStay in Eureka.

I think it’s safe to say that SureStay Best Western Eureka’s breakfast was the most disappointing we’ve encountered to date. The breakfast was basic, with a microwave breakfast burrito, coffee, and juice. There was a pancake-making machine, but it was not operating at this time.
