All international planes basically go through Santiago, the capital of Chile. The Santiago International Airport, also known as Nuevo Pudahuel Airport, is the largest and busiest in Chile. The airport is modern and is less than a 30-minute drive from downtown Santiago. However, congested traffic conditions can make it longer.
The Location
Located in the heart of Santiago, you are only a 10-minute walk from a large shopping mall that can meet all your forgotten needs. Not much else is around the hotel, except for other hotels and office buildings.

The Hotel

The Premier Best Western Marina Las Condes
This hotel is in an excellent location for tour pick-ups, serving as our base for four nights. We booked the tour “The Best of Santiago” for 4 nights and 5 days and enjoyed the convenience of our hotel location and amenities as well as our tour package that included a tour of Santiago, wine tasting at a local vineyard, a trip to Valparaiso and Vina del Mar, and a day excursion to Portillo in the Andes.

Additional hotel features include a bar, lounge, restaurant, swimming pool, and gym. The restaurant was one of my favorites and served excellent international cuisine for good value. Service was sophisticated yet friendly.
The Room
The Marina Las Condes has 371 guest rooms ranging from double to king and suites.
Rooms come with free high-speed Wi-Fi Internet access, as well as LCD TVs with a desk, coffee maker, and refrigerator.
The towels are large and very absorbent, something I really enjoyed. Unfortunately, there were no ventilation or fans in the bathroom, which created a rather odiferous smell after someone used the toilet.
Complimentary bottled water (2 bottles) is available on your first night. However, after that, you must pay and get more through a vending machine located by the reception desk. (About $2.00 USD per bottle). It doesn’t take cash, only credit cards. The night we tried the vending machine, it didn’t work, so reception had to do some magic to get us bottled water. As there are few places close by to buy bottled water, this is quite an inconvenience, especially for international travelers.
The Rates
For the best rates online as well as special packages, book directly with the hotel. Or check Booking.com or Expedia for competitive prices. Depending on the day of the week, season, and room type, rates run from around $129.00 USD per night and upwards. They usually include breakfast.
Check rates online at Expedia, Booking.com, Agoda.com, or Hotels.com.

The Bottom Line
The breakfast buffet is outstanding, with many choices. Mine was included in the hotel rate; however, some bookings online have a surcharge for breakfast. My reservation was done through the Go Chile tour company and included breakfast.

The on-site restaurant is a hidden gem. From shrimp Caesar salad to wonderful pisco sours, Peruvian and international entrees, the food and drink are delicious.

Complimentary bottled water is provided in the room. But only for one day. After that, you are charged. You can also get it from a vending machine located by the check-in desk; however, the machine was not working when we were there. It accepted no coins, only credit cards.
Also, be advised that the front desk is unable to exchange other international currencies into Chilean pesos. As your options are few once you get to the hotel, it is best to exchange your currency at the airport.

Thanks for the honest and insightful review. We will certainly keep this hotel in mind should our travels take us to Santiago Chile some day.
