AutoCamp Yosemite Glamping Near Yosemite National Park

The list of accommodation options in and around Yosemite National Park is long and diverse. While properties like The Ahwahnee and El Capitan Hotel are valued for their history, newcomer Firefall Ranch offers what’s arguably the region’s most luxurious digs. But if it’s the joy of camping without the dirt and work that appeals to you, AutoCamp Yosemite leads the pack.

Location

With a lesser known Midpines address, depending on traffic, AutoCamp Yosemite is located approximately 45 minutes from the Arch Rock Entrance to Yosemite National Park. (Entrance reservation requirements to the national park vary, so be sure to check when making plans to visit.)

AutoCamp is a good fit for guests who would rather not drive into Yosemite National Park. The Yosemite Area Regional Transportation System, better known as YARTS, picks up outdoor enthusiasts at AutoCamp’s entrance. It doesn’t get much easier.

The glamping property is also just under six miles from Mariposa, the gateway town, which has a grocery store, restaurants, shops, and wine tasting.

Memorable Accommodations

AutoCamp knows how to make glamping fun and easy. Lodging options include silver Airstream trailers, platform tents, cabins, and accessible suites.

I stayed in a Premium Airstream Suite located alongside the property’s pond along with my husband and dog. It had everything we needed for a luxe, camping-esque experience.

The bedroom featured a queen bed, while the living space offered a sofa that converts to a double bed. The kitchen was compact but mighty, stocked with a sink, microwave, and mini-refrigerator. Other amenities included a full bathroom with walk-in shower, television, heat, and air conditioning. Airstreams also include a patio with a fire pit and dining table.

Seasonal Luxury Tents feature a notable number of perks including a comfy queen bed, sofa, and mini-refrigerator. Bathrooms and showers are located in the Clubhouse. Tents are traditionally available to book from April through the end of October.

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are offered at The Kitchen, a walk-up counter steps from the front desk. Menus are simple but selections are tasty. Think breakfast burritos, overnight oats, pizza, mac & cheese, and chicken pot pie. Complimentary coffee, tea, and granola are available daily from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m.
