As soon as I arrived at TROBBU Tulum Resort and was welcomed with a cool drink and a hand towel, I knew this experience would be next-level. Tucked in a neighborhood just a short drive from Tulum’s downtown shopping district, this new property is the perfect option for a girls’ trip or family reunion, as the villas are large and well-appointed, with plenty of areas to relax and enjoy the swaying palm trees.

You are introduced to your butler upon arrival, and they are available to organize meals for you, bring you cocktails, or cater to your every need. As the last one to arrive in my group, I stayed in the bedroom with two queen beds, which had its own bathroom just across the hall. The two other bedrooms have en suite bathrooms, with the primary also having an outdoor shower — my favorite! Plus, you’ll have plenty of air conditioning, no matter which room you get.

The villa’s main floor offers a gathering space you won’t want to leave, with a massive dining table, full kitchen, and a sunken seating area that looks out to your private plunge pool. There’s no communal pool at the property, but you won’t miss it when you have your own pool where nobody is fighting you for a lounge chair. With over 2,700 square feet of space in your villa, there’s plenty of room for up to eight people.

All villa rentals are all-inclusive when staying at TROBBU Tulum, which includes breakfast, lunch, dinner, and a variety of alcoholic beverages. We enjoyed starting our day with a green juice, followed by a combination of Mexican favorites like chilaquiles and traditional brunch favorites, such as Eggs Benedict and French toast.
There’s even a pizza oven on site serving up personal margherita pizzas and other specialties. If you’re traveling with kids, they can make their own creation!
All villas have a grill, so plan to add on the Grill Experience, where a chef grills up your dinner, and it’s served by your butler with spicy margaritas to go along with it.

On-Property and Nearby Activities
TROBBU Tulum is just a 10-minute drive to the shopping and dining district and a few more minutes to the beach. The property has a partnership with a beach club, where you can book a space in the shade to enjoy drinks, snacks, and ocean views. A shuttle is available to transport your group there and bring you back when you are done.
You can also visit the Tulum ruins, swim in a cenote, zipline through the jungle, or head out on a whale shark cruise. The property can provide recommendations and make arrangements for you to experience these activities at an additional cost.

For those looking for on-property activities, you’ll find plenty of wellness offerings to suit your needs, from sound baths to yoga and cacao ceremonies. Wine tastings, cooking classes, and even karaoke nights are perfect for bachelorette parties and family gatherings. If you’d like to relax with a massage, one can be arranged either in your villa or the spa treatment room.
