Relax at Cherry Creek Hotel Hyatt Place Denver

Looking for a clean and affordable Denver hotel that’s close to everything? Hyatt Place Denver Cherry Creek is the place to be for World of Hyatt members. Business hotels in Denver are plentiful. It’s a bonus when your hotel is near shopping, fabulous restaurants and offers parks nearby for pets, as well as people. This Hyatt Place is technically not located in Denver, but the Glendale suburb meets my criteria for friendly front desk folks and well-maintained hotel rooms.

My husband and I selected this Cherry Creek Hyatt Place hotel for its location. Our son had recently moved to Denver and we wanted to be near Cherry Creek Park, as well as shopping and dining. The 11 story hotel was originally a Lowes Hotel back in the 1980’s. Now a Hyatt Place, hotel members may expect contactless check-in, choice of hotel room floor and your view.  We opted for the 11th floor as we wanted to wake up to views of the Rocky Mountains every morning. The sunsets aren’t too bad, either.

After day two, the front desk staff knew us by name. One of the staff members was a former dog trainer and pointed out the Hyatt Place goodie bag for dogs. Our Labrador Retriever loved the locally-made dog treats and, of course, the tennis ball. If you are traveling with a pet, there is an additional pet fee and the doggy bag is an additional charge. Bonus points for pointing us to a pet-friendly park within walking distance. Look into visiting Cherry Creek State Park if you are a pedestrian, pet-walker or even an equestrian. This park is amazing for people and dogs. There’s even a creek running through it; that would be Cherry Creek!

There are several room options to select from. We chose the king mountain view room and the sunrise and sunset views over Denver, Colorado did not disappoint. Located on the 11th floor, I sometimes worry the elevators will be slow to our room. This was not the case at our Hyatt hotel; the elevators were fast and efficient. We also like the Hyatt Grand bed – very comfortable.

As is standard for Hyatt Place hotels, we had individual shampoo, conditioner and body lotion amenities, as well as a hair dryer in the bathroom. There was a desk, dresser and table in our king room, as well as a sofa bed (which we didn’t use.) Additionally, a small coffee area offered tea and coffee. There was also coffee and hot water available 24/7 in the lobby.

If you are a World of Hyatt member, breakfast is included. I typically grab a yogurt and fresh fruit and save my splurge dining for the many Denver-based restaurants nearby. Truthfully, I’ve not been impressed by the Denver hotel breakfasts that I’ve experienced, but you can’t beat the price.

Breakfast is complimentary for World of Hyatt members

Rooms rates start at $99 – $399 and fluctuate depending on the season. Again, if you are a Hyatt Rewards member or AAA member, you’ll receive even better hotel rates. If you are not a rewards member and want to look for better rates, you can try or Expedia.
