Mexico is bursting with hotels and resorts. One of the newest and most modern of these resorts is the Now Amber, which opened in Puerto Vallarta in April 2012. With 327 rooms and suites, the Now Amber features picturesque views of Banderas Bay, and is a great option for multi-generational travelers to the large family.
Location, location, location
Located minutes from the Puerto Vallarta International Airport, Now Amber is convenient for travelers. It is situated on Banderas Bay, allowing guests to participate in water activities such as para-sailing. If you prefer land activities, the nearby rainforests of Las Palmas offer an amazing backdrop for horseback riding.
Bring the whole family
Now Amber offers a range of amenities for guests of all ages. The Now Amber Explorer’s Club features beepers for parents and special children’s camp nights. It also offers babysitting services, just in case parents want to enjoy a meal or two without the kids. For teens, the CoreZone has a ping-pong table, fun electronics, and plenty of food.
For when you get hungry
There are plenty of food options at Now Amber. It boasts five gourmet restaurants, a café, grills, bars, and lounges. If you want to get away from the kids for a while or want a more exclusive dining option, Himitsu is open to adults only. This Pan-Asian restaurant also has Tepanyaki tables, but is only open for dinner, with a “casual elegance” dress code. Adult guests also have the option of dining next door at several Secrets Puerto Vallarta restaurants.
A room for every need
Now Amber offers adjoining rooms for people traveling with families or groups. But if you are looking for something a little more peaceful than the typical family friendly resort atmosphere, the Now Amber also has the Preferred Club. Guests who want a little more exclusivity can stay in the Preferred Club, which features complimentary internet and breakfast, a private lounge, and suites with ocean-front views. So whether you need something the whole family can enjoy or want a little peace and quiet, the Now Amber has a room for everyone.
Upon arrival at the Now Amber, each guest is greeted with a cool towel and (for those who can drink) a welcome cocktail. The rooms and suites all feature traditional Mexican décor, as well as air conditioning, nightly turndown service, and bathrooms with Jacuzzi tubs and showers. The water at the Now Amber is safe to drink but if you’re wary of this, the mini-bar in each room is restocked daily with all kinds of beverages. Guests have many swimming options, as the Now Amber has a swimming pool, an infinity pool, and a whirlpool. Golfers take note of complimentary green fees at nearby 18-hole golf courses.
