Vancouver is one of the North American host cities for the 2026 World Cup, hosting seven soccer matches in June and July. Whether you’re coming to the city for a major sports event like this one or you’re traveling for any other reason, we’ve rounded up a few of our favorite places to stay in Vancouver.

The luxurious pool area at the Fairmont Pacific Rim Vancouver
Fairmont Pacific Rim
Vancouver has several hotels under the Fairmont brand. The most luxurious, the Fairmont Pacific Rim, overlooks Burrard Inlet, near the Canada Place cruise ship terminal. Read our detailed review here: Waterfront Luxury at Vancouver’s Fairmont Pacific Rim
The classic Fairmont Hotel Vancouver, which dates back to 1939, and the more contemporary Fairmont Waterfront, are also worth considering when you’re looking at where to stay in Vancouver. We’ve reviewed both of these hotels, too: Fairmont Waterfront in Downtown Vancouver and Shades of Grey at Fairmont Hotel Vancouver.
