There is no better place to start your magical tour of Peru than in its capitol – a place where you can absorb history, appreciate colonial architecture, explore Inca ruins, taste some of the best Peruvian cuisine in the world, and shop to your heart’s content for textiles and garments made from the amazing Alpalca fiber.
Since all international flights must go through Lima, why rush off to Machu Pichuu or the Amazon before you experience Lima. One of the best places to stay is in Miraflores, a haven for urban convenience. You will also find here that if your Spanish vocabulary is somewhat challenged, that many locals know some English.
The Location
Situated in Miraflores district of Lima, the Pullman Lima Miraflores is a 5-star Accor hotel that offers 235 rooms and suites, along with an executive floor.
The location is superb and is only a 5 minute walk from the upscale Larcomar shopping mall. Here you will find restaurants, parks and entertainment with sea views. Also there is access to the green coast (Costa Verde) and its Pacific beaches. Nearby is the famous Huaca Pucllana, an archaeological site rich in Lima culture.
The Hotel
At the Hotel Pullman Lima Miraflores, rooms feature great ocean views with balconies. All rooms our outfitted with modern furniture, smart TVs, and kettles along with complimentary WIFI.
You can reserve rooms with breakfast or not, however, my recommendation is you include breakfast. It is a highlight with a great spread – one of the best in the city.
The hotel also includes a rooftop outdoor swimming pool and a fitness center.
The Food & Beverage
Be sure to head up to the rooftop bar as it is considered by many to be the best in the city. Located on the sixteenth floor with excellent views of the Pacific Ocean, the Ambra Rooftop is known for their signature cocktails and light bites, and of course, their ambiance.
I personally recommend trying the Pisco Sour – a Peruvian staple drink. Actually, it is more than a cocktail, as it embodies the rich cultural heritage and national pride of Peru. Originating from the coastal regions of the country, the drink is crafted with Pisco, a high-quality grape brandy that reflects the unique terroir of the Andean valleys. The combination of Pisco, fresh lime juice, simple syrup, egg white, and bitters creates a harmonious blend of flavors that showcases Peru’s agricultural bounty.
Even though the hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of many local restaurants, I recommend staying at the hotel to enjoy the local cuisine at Plural Restaurant & Lounge, a contemporary Peruvian proposal. Created by Chef Emerson Gálvez, the cuisine is where culture meets taste. However, the night we dined there, even though our entrees were delectable, the portions seemed on the light side. So, you might want to include appetizers as well.
The Room
Rooms are spaciously clean, with well-appointed modern design and graphics. Beds are comfortable and will ensure a great night’s sleep.
Bathrooms come with complimentary water. This is an important convenience when in Peru, as you should never drink the tap water from any sink.
The Rates
For the best rates online as well as special promo packages, book directly with Pullman Lima Miraflores. Or check Booking.com or Expedia for competitive prices. Depending on day of the week, season and room type, rates run from around $125-350 per night.

The Bottom Line
The Pullman Lima Miraflores is one of the best choices for places to stay while in Lima. It has easily become my favorite when I am in the Miraflores area. It is hard to beat their excellent location, superb service, and great food and bar.
Plus, in my opinion they have the best breakfast buffet in the city, featuring a variety of health food drinks as well. This was one of my favorites.
