In a neighborhood known for its luxurious hotels, the JW Marriott Hotel Mexico City Polanco offers upscale digs in the nation’s capital.

Polanco stands as Mexico City‘s most expensive district, where tree-lined streets lead to  grand urban parks and world class museums. Browse the shops on Avenida Presidente Masaryk (the Rodeo Drive of CDMX) and dine in restaurants helmed by internationally renowned chefs.

Catering to both business travelers seeking convenience and leisure visitors who want easy access to high-end boutiques, chic cafes, and restaurants, the JW Marriott Hotel is a sophisticated base for navigating the city. The premium location is safe and secure to walk anywhere you like, any time of the day or night.

For business travelers, there are 218 square meters of event space across nine individual rooms. A helipad is available only a mile away, with transportation available to the hotel. If you need to make a big impression with your team, the courteous and professional hotel staff and concierge service are big assets, too.

Travelers who want a cushy introduction to Mexico City will appreciate the neighborhood as well as the hotel amenities such as the heated rooftop pool with city views; full service spa and gym, and transportation assistance.

Rooms

314 fully renovated rooms and 45 suites provide a comfortable and convenient base for  rejuvenation as you explore all that Polanco has to offer. All rooms have floor-to-ceiling windows and are furnished in a cool, neutral palette. The higher floor rooms have mesmerizing views of Mexico City, Polanco and Chapultepec Park.

Marriott’s signature bed no doubt contributes to the brand’s loyal following. If you fall in love with the pillows or linens, it’s all available to purchase online.

In-room amenities include modern entertainment systems so you can watch your favorite shows, 24-hour room service, a Nespresso coffee maker, a mini-bar, and both sparkling and still bottled water. The generous bathroom had Aromatherapy toiletries in refillable bottles.

I had a king high-view room, perfect for my first visit to Mexico City in decades. The elevated perspective immerses you in the scope of the city. If you’ve never been to CDMX, request one of these rooms.

Dining options

Recognized as one of the leading dining establishments across Marriott International’s Latin American and Caribbean portfolio, Sendero is the signature restaurant at this JW Marriott. It’s open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and is considered one of the best breakfast spots in the city. Sendero is a must. If you go for breakfast, try the huevos rancheros.

Also consider making a reservation for the Tahona Mezcal Room, available for private dining experiences. We booked the Omakase experience, which was five courses including a dessert and mezcal pairings. It was one of the most memorable meals of my entire year.

I also tried room service. The dinner menu includes sandwiches and salad options as well as entrees like grilled salmon. The food was delicious, and the service was prompt and on time.

The neighborhood

Polanco is a beautiful neighborhood and home to the city’s largest park, Chapultepec Forest, and the National Museum of Anthropology. All is within walking distance of the hotel, making it an ideal location for visitors interested in the culture and history of CDMX.

Within less than five minutes’ walk from the hotel, you will also find Lincoln Park, with lots of leafy trees, reflecting pools, and a play area for the kids, and the Angela Peralta Theater. I had just enough free time to walk through this park one afternoon and found it delightful.

The JW Marriott Hotel Mexico City Polanco delivers the luxury experience guests expect from this brand, and the location seals the deal. I recommend booking in advance.

If you’re arriving by rental car from the airport, there is valet parking. The hotel also offers a transportation service.
