Coral Dubai Deira Hotel offers an inviting combination of modern comfort and hospitality in the heart of Dubai’s historic Deira neighborhood. With its warm ambiance and thoughtful amenities, the hotel caters to both travelers and travelers. I used the Coral Dubai Deira as a base to explore the other emirates of the United Arab Emirates.
Location
Deira is one of the oldest and most historically significant neighborhoods in Dubai. It’s the original heart of the city before the skyscrapers of Downtown and the luxury resorts of Jumeirah took center stage. However, the Coral Dubai Deira is not located quite near any of the major attractions. It is, for instance, a 44-minute walk to the Gold Souk, which is also in Deira.
It is only a 12-minute walk to Al Rigga Metro Station, which provides convenient access to iconic landmarks such as the Gold Souk, Spice Souk, Dubai Creek, and the downtown skyscrapers.
The area around the hotel is vibrant and rich in cultural experiences. It offers local markets, authentic dining options, and a glimpse into everyday Dubai life.
Rooms and Accommodations
The hotel boasts 147 well-appointed rooms and suites, ranging from standard rooms to spacious executive suites. Each room is rather simply furnished with contemporary decor. I switched to this hotel from one more conveniently located by the Al Ghubaiba Bus Station and Metro Station because this hotel was more quiet and comfortable.
Notable amenities include high-speed Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs with international channels, ergonomic work desks, minibars, and tea and coffee-making facilities. Some rooms feature windows with city views.
Public Spaces and Facilities
The lobby of the Coral Dubai Deira is spacious and welcoming, with a skosh of elegance.
An inviting rooftop pool provides guests with panoramic city views, complemented by comfortable lounge chairs ideal for sunbathing and relaxation.
The fully equipped fitness center allows guests to maintain their workout routines, featuring modern cardio machines and weights.
Dining Options
The hotel offers two restaurants. Rumours Café is located in one half of the label and offers international dishes in a casual atmosphere. Rumours Café offers a relaxed, welcoming space to enjoy coffee, tea, fresh juices, sandwiches, muffins, and cookies in an alcohol-free setting. I was pleasantly surprised at the food. I had the Chicken Biriani special, and it was quite tasty. The menu also offered a large number of smoothie options.
Al Nafoora is the all-day dining restaurant at Coral Dubai Deira Hotel, offering buffet-style breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The menu focuses on global cuisine and local specialties, with dishes made from fresh ingredients. I didn’t have the chance to dine here during my stay.
Activities and Entertainment
The concierge can assist guests with planning excursions and local sightseeing adventures tailored to individual preferences.
Meeting Facilities
Coral Dubai Deira Hotel offers meeting and event facilities suitable for various corporate and social gatherings. The hotel features three primary event spaces:
- Al Diwan & Al Majles Banquet Halls: Depending on their configuration, these halls can accommodate up to 160 guests.
- Board Room: This meeting room off the lobby can comfortably seat up to six participants.

Nearby Sites
While not an easy walk to the iconic Gold and Spice Souks, they are a short metro or Uber ride away, as is Dubai Creek and its traditional dhow boat rides. Families can visit nearby parks (via Uber) such as Al Mamzar Beach Park, which is known for its scenic beaches and family-friendly amenities.
Pricing and Value
Room rates at Coral Dubai Deira Hotel offer excellent value, especially given the location and amenities. Standard rooms start at approximately $40-100 per night, varying seasonally and based on availability. It is not the fanciest hotel in Dubai… not even close. But it does offer a comfortable stay and good value for the money. This is what a travel writer like me stays when they are paying the bill.
Check rates online at Expedia, Booking.com, or Hotels.com.
Conclusion
Coral Dubai Deira Hotel stands out as an affordable, comfortable hotel with genuinely welcoming service in a city filled with glamour and luxury. I would stay there again.
