Barcelona, Spain, has a wealth of hotels from every price point. Whether you have a week or only a few days in Barcelona, you’ll want a clean and comfortable hotel situated in the vibrant part of the city. My Best Western Premier Hotel Dante Barcelona, Spain review will point you in the right direction.

Best Western Premier Hotel Dante sign over the entrance to the 7-story Barcelona, Spain hotel. 6 levels of glass windows are surrounded by leafy green trees.

My husband was joining me for our recent trip to Spain and France. He likes having a car when we travel internationally. The fact that this Best Western in Barcelona has its own parking garage made our hotel selection easy.

This luxury 4-star Barcelona hotel is located in the Eixample district near the Paseo de Gràcia and a short walk from Gaudí’s Pedrera and Casa Batlló. It’s approximately a 20-minute drive from Barcelona-El Prat Airport in Spain.

As I have attained Best Western Diamond Elite status, I was able to check in early to our hotel. I also received an upgraded room, and my husband and I were given two complimentary drink tickets. Welcoming flutes of Spanish sparkling cava set the tone for our Barcelona holiday.

4-framed pieces of photography hang on the hotel lobby wall, all featuring Barcelona street scenes and Gaudi local architecture. An olive green modern sofa & 2 brown leather swivel chairs are in the lobby.

The hotel lobby was light-filled and welcoming. Past the lobby is an even larger lobby bar for lounging, sipping sangria, or simply relaxing after a day of sightseeing.

Hotel lobby bar looks more like a library with 3 wood book shelves. Several sets of books are stacked on the bottom shelves, along with phrases in Spanish spelled out in metal script. Three brown swivel chairs sit next to 3 small wood tables with small reading lamps.

Family-friendly, solo, and couple hotel rooms

The 7-story property has been a hotel since 1965. With 80 hotel rooms, there are several room categories available. From individual rooms to double rooms with 2 queen beds, twin beds, or triple rooms, you’ll have options. For those traveling with multiple family members, there are family rooms with sofa beds and rooms with adjoining doors.

We landed in room #702, a king suite with a balcony terrace. We were visiting in May and were happy to have a room with air conditioning. There was a remote-controlled button that raised and lowered the screen that served as both blackout curtains and to protect our room from the afternoon sun.

King bed with white duvet, 4 white pillows and 2 gray square accent pillows. A gray leatherette sofa was placed at the base of the bed. Charcoal gray carpet under the bed. The balcony is right of bed.

Our room included two cotton white robes and slippers, as well as a walk-in shower. The shower featured a Hansgrohe waterfall shower head and Seaskin Traveller Collection bath amenities.

The room included a mini fridge, coffee maker, and desk area, as well as a flat-screen TV and safe.
