Now that my husband and I live in Oregon, this Martinez, California-based hotel is where we stay when we come to visit friends in Contra Costa County. We like this particular Best Western hotel because it is affordable, clean and pet-friendly.
Located 3 miles from I-680, 3 miles from the Amtrak train station and 3 miles from the 6,000+ acre Briones Park, there’s plenty to do around this Martinez hotel. The 3-star Best Western John Muir Inn offers 120 rooms with 3 floors and an elevator to whisk you to your hotel room.

This Best Western hotel included a complimentary hot breakfast. The breakfast included eggs, bacon and sausage, juice, coffee, tea and hot chocolate. In the afternoon there is a cookie jar filled with fresh baked chocolate chip cookies. There are also bags of fresh popped popcorn.
Amenities at this Best Western hotel included a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, as well as a small gym. Additionally, laundry facilities were available.
