If you are a frequent guest at any of the ten Hilton Worldwide brands (Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts, Conrad Hotels& Resorts, Hilton Hotels & Resorts, DoubleTree by Hilton, Embassy Suites Hotels, Hilton Garden Inn, Hampton Hotels, Homewood Suites by Hilton, Home2 Suites by Hilton and Hilton Grand Vacations), the Hilton HHonors program is a great way to build up points to earn free stays for any room, anywhere. Guest who are members of the free program can use their points on any of four room rewards – Premium Room Rewards, Room Upgrade Rewards, Points and Money Rewards and Standard Room Rewards. Hilton HHonors is the only hotel guest loyalty program to offer “no blackout date” rewards, and guests can also earn both airline miles and hotel points for the same stay at any of their worldwide properties.
Enrollment in the Hilton HHonors program is free, and guests start out at the Blue level. Benefits at the blue level include quick reservations and check-ins based on room preferences, late check-out, express check-out, and spouse stays free. With four more stays (and ten nights total), you’ll be upgraded to the silver level, which offers the following benefits beyond blue – 15% bonus on all the HHonors base points, complimentary access to fitness centers and health clubs (where available), and two complimentary bottles of water per stay (available at most properties). Gold membership includes benefits that vary by property, along with eCheck-in and a 25% bonus on all HHonors base points, while Diamond membership includes benefits that vary by property, along with eCheck-in and a 50% bonus on all HHonors base points.
On January 1, 2013, Hilton HHonors announced changes in the qualifications for Gold and Diamond membership in 2014. For Gold membership, you need to have 20 stays, 40 nights, or 75,000 base points, and for Diamond membership, you need to have 30 stays, 60 nights, or 120,000 base points.
If you don’t want to use your Hilton HHonors points for free stays, you can also use them for room upgrades, charitable contributions, or purchases in the Hilton HHonors Shopping Mall for items like computers, cameras, televisions, cosmetics, and jewelry.
